2007 was an extraordinary year for David Bendeth. He had a hand in 5 of the top 35 most played songs at Alternative Radio including Breaking Benjamin’s “Breath” at #4 and The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus’s “Face Down” at #6.  David produced both of those along with Paramore’s ‘Riot!’ which yielded the track “Misery Business” (#25).  All three of these albums have exceeded 800,000 US sales and are on their way to Platinum.  He also mixed The Almost’s “Say This Sooner” (#23).

London-born David Bendeth has been around music and musicians most of his life as a guitarist, songwriter, producer and A&R executive. The self-taught guitarist studied at the famed Berklee School of Music in Boston before hitting the U.K. Charts as a blue-eyed soul crooner with the single “Feel the Real” in 1979.  He went on to release three albums before joining CBS/Sony Canada as staff producer.

As an A&R executive/staff producer living in Canada through the 90’s, Bendeth worked with the Cowboy Junkies, Crash Test Dummies and Treble Charger.  He continued to work with successful artists after moving to New York as an RCA Sr. Vice President/staff producer: Vertical Horizon, Bruce Hornsby and SR-71.

In 2002 David was asked to oversee the Elvis Presley 30 #1 Hits album which he produced, mixed and engineered in stereo and 5.1 surround. To date the record has sold nearly 14 million records worldwide and was #1 in over 27 countries. It was the #2 selling record worldwide in 2002 second only to Eminem.

Now an independent producer/mixer/writer, during 2006-2007 David produced and mixed albums for Paramore, Breaking Benjamin and The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus while he also mixed tracks for The Almost, Chiodos, and Killswitch Engage.
