Animal Kingdom are a four-piece London-based band - Geoff Lea (drums), Wayne Yardley (bass), Hamish Crombie (guitar), Richard Sauberlich (vocals, guitar, piano) who make wintery music that is dark, strange and beautiful.
The band have been together for 18 months and have just finished recording their debut album at Electrokitty studios in Seattle with producer Phil Ek (Band of Horses, The Shins). Animal Kingdom have played live supporting Camera Obscura and Band Of Horses, as well as at Latitude, Secret Garden Party and V Festival this summer. There will be a limited edition single available and a UK tour in October/November this year, with their debut album to be released in Spring 2009. |
